The Board of Directors is made up of members of the California Retired Teachers Association Division 52. Elected by the membership of CalRTA Division 52, they administer the donated funds and accept applications annually for the multiple scholarships each year.

THE SPECIFIC PURPOSES OF THIS FOUNDATION ARE:
To promote educational and academic accomplishments by awarding scholarships to eligible students enrolled in Diablo Valley and Los Medanos Community Colleges,
To invest and protect the funds of the Foundation
To make donors eligible for tax deductions under provisions of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Foundation is sponsored by CalRTA Division 52 Diablo Vista Retired Teachers Association and operates under its own constitution and bylaws. The DVRTSF Board is authorized to act for CalRTA Division 52 DVRTA in collecting, managing and awarding scholarship funds.
