The luncheon:
This year's luncheon was held at the Concord Historical Society.
The students who were selected to receive the scholarship attended the Scholarship Luncheon. They each gave a short speech about their journey and next steps. They were presented with certificates from the Scholarship Committee Liaison Katie Gaines and the treasurer Karen Neilson.
The Division 52 members, most of whom are retired teachers, often say that this is their favorite luncheon of the year. They have contributed money toward these scholarships and enjoy meeting the recipients in person.
Students are also asked to send updates to publish in the Division 52 newsletter. The members enjoy reading about the students' challenges and successes as they move through their educational journey, and even afterwards.
